Write Every Day, September Day #14

Tonight, I went to see a play with a friend. The play dealt with some very heavy themes, heavier than I normally go to see, but it was also mindblowingly good, incredibly well acted and written/adapted and everything else. There is something cathartic about seeing a heavy story really well done, but it's not an experience I want to repeat too often. At least the themes weren't something close to me personally, which made it easier, and it had a hopeful ending. And we could discuss it together and we bought chocolate on the way back.

Anyway, that's kind of taken up most of my evening.

Today's Writing

Since I went to the theatre soon after I'd finished working, I haven't written much today. But on the way I did a bit of brainstorming on possible alternate scenes for the travel writing exercise. And just now I tried to noodle on the fic I started yesterday, but I'm too tired and can't focus, so I gave up after a couple of sentences. I have things I want to write, but tomorrow is a new day. And also, I need to stop eating the chocolates. (ETA: I didn't. I think I won't be allowed to buy Daim Mint again. I feel so sugar-groggy. Which is probably not a word, but it is now, I'm sleepy.)
