Woo hoo, a filk! Congrats for finishing it! And rhymes and rhythms and stuff are hard, and indeed you don't really measure lyrics by word count - the same with poetry, for that matter. (I'm not tracking my word count this year, but when I did, it felt really odd to be counting words from poems on days when that was all the writing I did.)
