(Another very belated reply...) Thank you so much for the offer, I'd happy to take you up on it a bit later on! <3 I'm already listening regularly to a daily radio broadcast online in simple Swedish, which was recommended to get subconscious listening comprehension, which is also nice to stay motivated.

We share the Christmas preparations for the actual family celebration as much as possible. My mother tends to overwork herself with preparations, although having the whole family together is important to us all (I've got two sisters, both also married with two kids each); and after a breakdown a few years ago caused by her caring for her demented mother living in a flat in my parent's house, we now share the work as much as possible - or rather are allowed to take over part of it. ;o) And there's also the need to do the pre-holiday deep cleaning (which I never manage earlier in the month *coughs*), preparing Christmas eve dinner as well as a dinner for the other Christmas day, as we spend one day with family and the other have friends visiting.
