Thank you for hosting this month! I didn't report my tally in last month because I had to work out some things for myself about the challenge (unrelated to the people hosting or participating, just me being me and having some Aspie issues), but I've found a solution and am now back in as usual. I wrote every day even so, and actually also finally managed to finish these two fannish WIPs of old which kind of prevented me from tackling other projects. I'm waiting to get them back from the beta and finally post them, but in the meantime, I've started working at my epic fannish WIP "The Valley". This has been my first ever NaNo project a couple of years ago, and since then I've worked at it a repeatedly, started edits, new drafts, working at details, you name it. It's a behemoth (project-wise, not really word-wise) situated in a fannish niche with little precise canon info, so lots and lots of world-building and character-creating - which I love, and which would have been fine, had I not managed to miss some really central canon fact at the beginning which I now have to work into the thing. Anyway, I'm back right in the middle of it, but writing won't happen for a while yet because I'm busy sorting files and drafts, re-reading my research results and story parts (the first draft has about 62k), and I love it to pieces. ^^ I am writing even so every day, if just for the sake of it; be it drawer fic, meta, or the odd scene or edit on the WIP. Yesterday I just wanted to relax with some drawer fic and wrote 949 words in no time... *g* It's beyond crazy how easy writing goes at the moment for me - I'm sure it's because I finally finished those WIPs. This should teach me to really get stuff out of the way, no matter how, when I'm feeling thus encumbered by it.
