I've kept hearing about that one, but when I tried reading it a few years back, I got the feeling it was going to have a bit too much war for my liking - but it has been many years, so I don't remember more about that, and at the time I may have been bothered simply by the mention of a war. How much actual violence vs. just mentions of war going on is there, what would you say? Sorry to ask for more info, but it's important for my ability to read and enjoy something without mental beasties getting nasty - I'm okay with mentions but not graphic detail. Like, if just the violence was going to be rated Teen on AO3 (regardless of the sexual content and its rating) it's not usually a problem, but violence levels that would warrant Mature warning or more tend to be too much. If you have a hard time describing, though, I can just look online for more detail or browse the book and see what it looks like.
