Write Every Day, Day #8

I'm not yet doing all that great yet at following the more reasonable schedule I set for myself, like going to bed early and not leaving writing and posting until I'm half asleep. But hey, at least thinking about it and stuff is a step in the right direction. On the upside, I slept okay last night and I wasn't particularly cranky today. I was awfully tired, though; in the evening, when I was done with everything else, I just kind of hid under the covers for an hour and a half. You wouldn't think just staying home is so exhausting, but when you're still making yourself plenty busy on most days, it turns out it is... I may need to actually take a bit of an Easter break, rather than just the regular two days of weekend. Anyway, nothing more profound today, as I need to go to bed!

Today's Writing

I didn't manage to make time for writing in the morning, so I've just written some in the evening. No new manuscript words this time, but I did some planning work around the novel: I went to the character files of the project and took a look at what I had on certain supporting characters, and changed quite a bit and added things. It seems my thoughts about some of these characters have developed a lot, and that's good!

this has derailed my expected scene from 'wait how can we get out of here' to 'wtf you don't know what pasta is?' but it's fun, so I don't mind at all.

Nor should you mind! Those scenes are so much fun! And it's also true because people will get derailed into weird stuff when they should be focusing on something else. I think it sounds great. :-)
