Today's writing

Yuletide editing. And editing. And editing. Still not done. There's been quite some progress, thankfully, but there's still one gaping hole that needs to be filled and a couple of things that really need serious improvement, and my mind isn't producing anything. I currently despair over the quality of my own writing, and wish I had come up with a different story idea, and wonder why I ever signed up for this exchange, and pity my recipient. Maybe I need to go and watch an episode of Torchwood, and then come back and finish this.

It's going to be a very rough version that gets uploaded tonight, and I'll edit it before the reveals to make it better, but as of yet it doesn't quite pass off as a story, and I won't have time and energy for any significant amount of editing tomorrow, so... Don't know how late I'll be up. Sigh.

ETA at way, way too late at night: Edits finished for the night and story posted! I will still continue editing it, there's a lot to be improved, but at least I've got a complete story now. Woo hoo!

How are all of you doing? Hopefully nobody's been eaten by bears.

You have over a whole week until stories are revealed, so I'm sure you'll manage to get there in the end.

(I have to say that because I have to believe I'll get there in the end myself, you see. *g*)

I did some work on my Yuletide fic again today, and actually made some meaningful progress, but once again I'm too tired to keep at it. There'll have to be a marathon writing session tomorrow.

Yay, congrats to finishing into posting stage! *\O/*
I'm too tired myself for more than reporting some 150 words on my Maglor WIP, written in the last twenty minutes. At least I wrote them, without this challenge I would have left it at the "mind work" I did on my Big WIP during the day. Which has been busier than yesterday, but a good busy with more Christmas baking (all experimental due to necessary adaptions), jam making and other household and holiday preparation stuff.

I posted my main story today. My tagging is terrible, but otherwise it is pretty good, I think.

Yesterday morning I woke up and found that a dozen punch hits had gone out the night before. By sheer coincidence, the one remaining one that had not been claimed, 12 hours after they went out, contained a fandom I offered. So I offered to do it - figuring that it was gone but the mods were just, you know, sleeping. Much to my surprise. I got it.

I spent yesterday reviewing as much of the fandom as I could (I only own one of several books and there was no time to get the rest from the library) and throwing ideas out. As of today, I have maybe two ideas I can work with. I am not sure if they are one story or two. I came home from work tonight, review'ed canon a bit more, and tried to make an outline. I'll dig into actual words tomorrow. I hope.
