Write Every Day, September Day #4

I did some yoga tonight, at home with an online video as I always do these days, and oh, it was good for me. I really need to start doing it more often, it's good both for my body and my mind and feelings. My mind's so often all over the place and I'm tense and restless and can't find the quiet inside that I need - to feel well, ro relax, to create. It's worth taking out some time of my day/evening to find that quiet place and put my mind and body in the same place. I need to remember that.

Today's Writing

I wrote a couple of hundred words of some sort of freewriting internal monologue / narration for one of my original ideas. I also worked on another half-written femslash ficlet draft - I don't think it needs much more to be complete, but I'm too tired and need to head off to bed now.

How was your writing today? (And yesterday, if you didn't check in yet for that.)

Checking in for Days 3 and 4.

Not much more than alibi words and planning of an exchange fic on Day 3 and about 600 words on Day 4 so far. I need to finish this thing so that I can finish this other thing and this other thing... >.

Oops, I missed a check-in again! But I wrote both on the 3rd and today. Just a few sentences each, though.

I skipped the whole of last month alas (although I managed a few hundred words here or there, I was so intermittent I never even checked in at all). Let's hope for better things this month. Yesterday went great with 481 words (which considering my recent output is pretty much the same as writing a novel, lol).

So here goes nothing!

No wait, it must be 481 for the 3rd, 143 for the 4th, and now 375 for the 5th! Sorry!

Yay for doing something that makes you feel centered and balanced both inside and out! :-)

This was our first full day of classes and I'm exhausted. It was terribly hot and humid in my classroom, and by the end of the day, I was physically ill with the heat. I recovered after a shower, a meal, and a nap, at least enough to write 464 words on the story.

I'm sort of accidentally participating! I wrote a total of about 3000 words on the 3rd and 4th. :)

I wrote this morning too. :) But probably won't again for a bit, since the stories I was working on are finished.

I would love to pick up yoga again.

Got 1700 words today. It's a good thing.

Thanks. I actually have DVDs designed for overweight and arthritic people so I just need to sit down with them.

That said I'd love to see your favorite T channels.

I was on a roll.

Worked on the nonfiction project in the morning, then got busy, so didn't start on fiction until late at night. Usually that isn't a problem, but I was both tired, and restless in my mind. Something like yoga would have helped!

Anyway, took a few stabs at some small prompts, but nothing really came of out of it. Oh well.

I'm glad to hear the yoga helped you so, and writing happened! Hmmm, doing yoga by online course sounds actually like a good idea. Can you also do it with very little experience? My to-go kind of calming exercise used to be Tai Chi, which I did for two or three years, but I'm so out of the routine that I can't do it reliably any more, and there are no classes nearby I find useful. I did a yoga class for beginners ages ago, and a specialised one before that.
Not many words for me again, only about 50 - more alibi words, as I was again mainly working with my WIP files. Currently I'm comparing versions... which I HATE. Much easier in Scrivener, at least!

Such a post - or just some links - would be terrific! Thank you very much for suggesting this! And yes, I'm somewhat confident about the basics.
