Write Every Day, Day #13

All right, my little Easter break is about to be done, but I guess I really needed it! I do feel good about having taken some extra time "off" (in quotation marks because my schedules are so very self-determined at the moment, not because it wasn't time off). Guess if I did any of the cleaning I meant to do, beyond routine maintenance? No!! Uh, I really do need to get to that soon.

By the way, the posts have recently gotten too large to crosspost on LJ anymore, but nobody's been checking in there, so I'm just not going to crosspost. I'll try to make a note about the fact there, in case someone does need it, but it's too much hassle to make it crosspost when nobody seems to need it.

Today's Writing

I ended up doing a lot of non-fiction writing by hand. Memories and such. They might just be practice, or I might some day want to do more purposeful non-fiction about those topics - doesn't matter now, the important thing was writing them. I really enjoyed it. Later I typed up some more handwritten stuff for my novel. I didn't add and edit as much as I did for yesterday's scene, but some, anyway.

I kind of meant to do more, but then I spent a lot of time writing a podcast recommendation e-mail to a friend. Which reminded me that I've promised to do one over here... Will try to do it soon! (Can't just copy-paste since it was in Finnish and I'd ideally like it to be useful for more than two of my readers.)

I haven't cross-posted to LJ for the longest time either, as also nobody ever seemed to want to join there; when switching to zwei_hexen I think we didn't even create a journal on LJ.
It's good to hear you had/gave yourself a break over the holidays, and that it helped you, and also that writing happened for you. ♥
I'm afraid I needed a break as well, at least from being active online; I haven't commented, answered comments, reported my tally all through passion week or longer in some cases, but the digital work for my parish's website took up so much of my time and energy there wasn't much left for anything else, and the last two days I've also slept for most of the day to catch up with sleep deprivation. I managed to write, though, even if only alibi sentences on most days except for the last two. At least by now I think the creative writing is slowly coming back, as I also more and more get settled into our new reality, and I'm confident that I might manage regular check-ins again. I'm so sorry for having missed so many and needing to be edited in! I've written every day so far, and am missing on the 3rd, 5th, 6th, and from the 6th until the 13th. Thanks already for putting up with me!

Yeah, I mostly crosspost because I've set my journal to automatically crosspost. Though I've started to consider not doing that anymore - but there still are a couple of people who regularly comment and all who are on LJ only.

Taking a longer break from being active online is quite understandable and sometimes necessary. Glad you were able to take a break when you needed it! Don't feel bad about not having checked in, it's not a big deal to add you into the tally (at least if it's okay that I don't go back to edit you into all of the daily posts - I mostly just update the most recent tally). Well done for keeping up regular writing even if it was mostly alibi sentences! That's excellent in such a flurry of activity!

Sorry for having been misleading; I meant crossposting WED entries. I'm crossposting my regular entries all the time for the handful of LJ only friends I still have. But none of these at my journals participate at WED, so I stopped crossposting these as doing the tally eventually became so complicated for this reason - I honestly didn't see a point in making it even more complicated if nobody was going to use it anyway.
Thank you so much for editing me in! And of course it's absolutely sufficient to only put me in the most recent tally; TBH I'm always doing the same. ;o) I'm not checking older tallies either, and after the month is over only the final tally on occasion if I wanted to find out how I did, and that's that.
