auroracloud: a stack of notebooks, one of them open and with pencil lying on top of it (writing notebooks)

I'm glad you're finding such a way to continue writing as before even if the circumstances changed! That sounds really good. I'm playing around with the thought of having a dedicated writing time each day as well, it might make it easier. Writing in the morning often works for me, and I get more written on days when I do the writing in the morning rather than late in the evening. The only problem is that morning is also my most productive time for all other things, and if I write I may not get around to other brain-intensive things I need to do (I'm not working now, but I'm learning new skills to be able to change careers, so there's a lot to do!). So it's always a bit of a balancing effort. In the weekends I try to give myself writing time pretty early, though!

Good luck with your exchange commitments! I'm especially curious about the [community profile] unsent_letters_exchange, because I love epistolary fiction, but I missed the nominations period (there weren't a lot reminders about it in the community, and I had a lot going on in RL right then) and there just weren't enough fandoms I could have written/requested in. But I hope I remember to check out the fics once the exchange goes live. :-) Good luck with your gift fic for your friend as well. It's all too easy to let non-deadline stuff languish unfinished, I'm really familiar with that...

Yay for finding writing time in your lunch hour even if morning was spent on other activities. Also, double yay for longhand writing and new notebooks! I love writing longhand, and notebooks. ♥
