That's also very true about being able to avoid the distractions on the computer. I at least have to put Scrivener on the "compose" mode to get anything done - it stretches the document to full screen to hide anything you don't need right away. But it's still easy to get lost online if you need to do a bit of research in the middle of the writing. Or you think "oh, I'll just take a quick break to browse some sites" and then half an hour later... That would be another thing in favour of trying to write a first draft by hand, for sure. :-)
