It sounds you had a good writing day yesterday! And yay for baking and cooking with leftovers, and filling up sweet teeth well with it, too! ;o) I often have sweet cravings I can't fill because I can't eat the items any longer, and while there are now all kind of recipes to recreate them, it's often quite a hassle and I rarely have the energy to do so. Sadly, as a consequence, I tend to eat more than I really want of some sweet that's not really filling the crave of the moment. For me, it's mostly sweet-with-salty, and one quick and well-working replacement is pumpernickel bread with crunchy peanut butter, a pinch of additional salt, and a slice of Danish dark "bread" chocolate. (I have no idea how to call this in English, but perhaps you know it? Galle & Jessen Mørk pålaegschokolade. It's one of the few dark chocolates I tolerate, because I don't really like the dark one, but as I can't have dairy and also don't like the vegan variants...). Then, the other day, I also found a quick recipe for a quick, non-baking muesli bar I even could do with what I had at home, although I also substiuted some things to take care of leftover baking stuff. They're totally delicious, not overly sweet, were really easy and quick and - most importantly - totally fill my cravings with just one or one and a half of them, while providing me with some nutrients at the same time. Total win! The only downside is that they disintegrate uncooled, so have to be kept in the fridge and eaten right away. But that motivated me also to do bake my own varieties - with more peanuts than usual and a dash of salt ^^ - which can be kept at room temperature.
In the meantime, I've been painting a lot and writing not much, but still every day, and posted the drabbles I'd written the other day (totally forgot at first because of all the fresh air and standing on a ladder... *g* ). 250 words on the 24th, 386 on the 25th - on both days also for the big WIP -, 261 on the 26th and 117 yesterday. I've also begun to think about what to write for NaNo... I'll definitely be doing it again, just don't know yet if rebelling again and continue working on the WIP, or doing something new. I want both, and am of a mind to try both, too...
