auroracloudYuletide main collection stories have been revealed, and I received a most wonderful gift, in form of a canon divergence story of Jane Austen's Emma, with Emma and Jane Fairfax becoming friends earlier in the timeline, and some changes to Jane's. It can be read as either gen or as f/f or pre-femslash, whichever interpretation works best for you (which makes it perfect for me as I adore both), and it's written in a delightful Austen-esque voice, and with everyone wonderfully in character!

This is not the fic I spent weeks trying to get together, but the one that my muse gave me as soon as I gave up on that fic, and probably the one I should really have been writing all along.
