auroracloud: Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, smiling and holding an open book or notebook (Second Doctor smiling)

"Fan" does derive from "fanatic" so it's probably not possible to be a sensible fangirl! :-D

I am incredibly fond of the Second Doctor era stories and they make me very happy, so it's not a chore to watch them. It's just been a bit difficult to schedule, because of things going on lately, and because I've sucked at time management, so when I've been able to get other necessary things done, it's often been to late or I've been too tired to watch things. I don't have trouble sitting still, but I get easily overwhelmed by audiovisual stuff, so I can't watch as much as some people do. There's only so much sensory processing I can deal with at once. Though old TV is nicer that way, because it's less busy both visually and aurally.

I think you said that before but it was at a time when I fell behind on my comments and so I never replied to that comment! Sorry about that. But that sounds lovely! I love it when actors fondly remember / still like the people they've worked with and obviously had great chemistry with, and Frazer Hines seems like a total sweetie. I haven't met him or even really watched any interviews with him yet - so far I'm still busy getting caught up with the canon! - but I've listened to a few Big Finish interviews with him and occasionally taken a look at his Twitter account. And he seems like such a dear fellow! I love how many of the old-time Doctor Who stars are still engaged with the fandom, so many decades later. I bet they never could have guessed when they took on the job that people would still remember and love them for it in the 2010s! Especially the ones who started out in the 1960s when the show was only starting. (I read somewhere that Patrick Troughton originally thought the show would last a few weeks after he took on as the lead. *g*)
