Well, I don't actually have blu-ray either. Yet. But my DVD player is a second-hand thing that I'm only borrowing for the time being, so I'll have to get my own eventually, so I might as well get a blu-ray player when I do. It looks like I can get one for less than 100 euros, or about 100 if I want one that can use WLAN to also play things from online services. So I'll try to scrape that money together during this spring. I have a few Tom Baker era DVDs I've bought at various times and will probably watch them before I go on to S19.
I figure it's a good idea to buy the interesting-to-me blu-ray sets as they become available, because mostly I don't own those DVDs yet, having come to the fandom so recently - and the blu-ray set is going to take up much less space than getting all the DVDs separately! Plus all the shiny extras etc.
