Here is the second day of Write Every Day in December. If you don't know what this is about, check yesterday's post. Nice to see both old and new participants joining this month in my journal!

*distributes virtual tea and biscuits to everyone* I hope everyone has as good a day of writing as possible!

Pretty frosty day outside - no snow, but a faint layer of frost covering the trees, the dead leaves on the ground, etc. I woke up unusually energetic today. I seem to have the concentration of a small rodent, so it's hard to stay still and write much though I have time, but at least I used my distractedness to clean up around here, which is useful. The dust was starting to make me cough a bit...

Today's writing

I managed a little over 600 words on my Yuletide story, yay. Much of what I wrote today feels kind of meandering, but I think I managed to introduce a bit more conflict, which the story was lacking. I might get there yet! I'm about to go visit a friend soon, so I don't know if I have time to continue later, but at least I got this much done.

How was today's writing for everyone else?

Thank you for hosting this month!

I did write on the 1st, as well as today, though it was an alibi sentence in both cases. This week has been crazy - I'm so glad I've finally reached the weekend.

Looks like you're making great progress on your Yuletide story! I think I'm getting a bit lost in research for mine. Maybe I should just go back to canon and go from there.

Good luck with write every day! I just finished NaNo, so I'm not writing anything other than journal entries until tomorrow to take a break. I'll likely attempt it after that though

Mmm, virtual tea and biscuits.

I was dead tired and only managed a couple paragraphs on my Yuletide story. Surely it has to end soon?!

Only about 300 words for me. Tomorrow I really need to do some outlining so I'll know where to go with this...

Too busy for proper writing time today, so just ~370 words on a drawer fic today to wind down. I have this huge monster of a series of drawer fics that all fit together in some way, all in one enormous document, written over the years for my eyes only, and I'm writing a few scenes or more, or new parts of it when I need to unwind or unstress, get something off my head, or just want to write for the pleasure of it and for having fun without paying attention to research or detail.

I am not sure if I said thanks for hosting yesterday, but, thanks for hosting! :)

About 400-500 words for me today, on NaNo. I also opened my Yuletide story (that I wrote back in October and sent out for Beta) and the comments from the betas. Morbane beta'ed the story and gave me such amazing feedback about characters and character development, and now I need to figure out how to use the feedback. Between this feedback and beginning to think about the second draft of my NaNo novel, I feel like I am either about the level up as a writer, or be stuck just below the "level up" for a while, while I beat against that ceiling before I figure it out. Ha.

I wasn't home most of the day. Only got another 133 words on a steampunk Christmas story

Hello, new friend ;) Your frosty day sounds nice! No new words, but I got some editing done yesterday, and today I posted fic, and edited my Yuletide story and got it ready for beta.
