Hello and welcome to day #3 of Write Every Day! (And again, if you missed what that is, I explained in Day #1 post.)

I woke up too early today and have been rather tired, so after making my late lunch, I went to bed, fell asleep and slept for an hour or so. Now I'm all groggy and trying to figure out how to wake up properly again...

Today's writing

In the early afternoon I wrote about 350 words on Yuletide fic, which still refuses to be done. Most of the new words were just banter - maybe I could skip handing in a story and just post lots of banter? But at least I managed to make the beginning and the end of a scene meet, though it's going to require editing later. While cooking I possibly came up with an idea for the ending, so I might try that out a bit later. Probably after I've had a little walk outdoors to clear my head from the sleep...

ETA: Oops, sudden late-night fic-writing inspiration, over 1,400 words. Not the fic that I was meant to be writing, of course.

How is everyone else doing?

That late-night writing inspiration sounds awesome!
I'm only vaguely familiar with Yuletide; I know about it, but not about the rules, so I don't know if it's ok to ask about the fandom you write for. If not just ignore this, but if yes I'm curious. ;o)
As for my own writing; the challenge actually motivated me to take out a WIP and start working at it. It's mostly something I "just need to write down" *ahem* but have postponed several times since it doesn't have a deadline, and I wrote a bit over 500 words of the first final version. Since my large curret WIP, the NaNo edit (goes by "The Valley") currently needs fact-checking and beta discussions, it seems a good idea to have something else to write on.
I'm rather enjoying this right now: no pressing deadline or project, but a high motivation to write and actually something (this challenge) that gives me a very helpful kind of low-level pressure.
Oh, and thank you for hosting the challenge this month, too! :D

It was fun, though it screwed up my sleep a bit. Can't be helped, sometimes. :-)

Yeah, sorry, can't tell you the fandom, it's anonymous until the reveals in... beginning of January, I think? But I'll post here after the reveals, in any case. It's a rare fandom exchange, so I don't know how likely it is that you'll know the fandom, a nyway.

Yay for the challenge motivating you to work on your WIP! Good luck with it! Glad you have something stress-free you enjoy writing, and glad that the challenge is helping you out with it.

No problem, I'll be patiently waiting, then. :o)
