We're gone full three weeks into April and are beginning a fourth. I don't know how much of a feel for the passage of time I'd even have without this hosting, really, because of the whole *gestures at everything* situation.

Today's Writing

I dabbled some with my novel, zero-drafting a scene. Not a lot of writing, but some. I also played around with the character sheets for Ambush Project #2, but it was really more just fiddling with the wording of the templates than adding much to the sheet. I meant to do more writing later, but I had mental exhaustion set in and ended up not doing that. I did finish watching the second episode of Gentleman Jack, which was good remedy for the mental exhaustion. I've got the end credits song stuck in my head now...

Tired and frustrated. Yesterday when I was updating one of my master lists, LJ managed to take out all the gaps between lines. This evening I tried putting them back only to be told the post was now too big, so I split it in half and got told it was still too big! Wound up abandoning the whole thing and leaving the entrirs smooshed together. I might have to re-do the whole post. *sigh*

Progress is better on the writing side of things at least.

April 22nd - 1072 words, an entire short fic for a monthly challenge. I'll post it tomorrow night. Unless I forget.

Argh, sorry you had to deal with that kind of problems! Tech issues like that are so frustrating because you've no idea where the problem is and if it's just a faulty update on their side that will be fixed soon or what... But glad you got in a good chunk of writing all the same, yay for completing a fic!

I'm not good with the technical side of things so I don't know why it's gone wonky. I'll find out if I'll have to re-do the entire post next time I update it.

I've had the True Blood opening credits song going through my head for days now because I just started a full series rewatch. I can appreciate happy fandom earworms! :-)

I added 956 to Bond/Q today. We're getting there.

I do have to admit I was starting to get a mite frustrated by my earworm this afternoon - it's very catchy but there aren't all that many lines going round and round and round in my head - but it's calmed down somewhat since then. :-)

Sympathies about the not very productive day! ♥
I seen to have developed a strange kind of pattern: alternating one or two days of inactivity and not feeling up to anything with days of crazy activity. I've done nearly two hours of gardening yesterday, was sewing for over an hour (masks for my sisters's families), worked a few hours on Church homepage stuff, did laundry, baked bread, AND got in nearly 3k of writing (for the 21st), with 2/3rds of it being for a blog post and the rest is part editing and part writing about writing. Today, so far, not a single word, and although I managed part of my to-do list the rest won't happen today. I'm just sitting down to write now, but I don't think it'd be much more than an alibi sentence.

Maybe your brain and/or body need to recharge for a couple of days before having the energy to be active - and then by that time there's a pent-up desire to do things so you end up doing a lot. Good luck finding ways to balance it out. ♥ Did you end up managing to write on the 22nd?
