Today's Writing

I only got around to a tiny bit of freewriting earlier in the day, because of other stuff, and in the evening I was tired and kind of meh, and it took until pretty late to get to writing. But eventually I did manage several paragraphs of the novel; one of those that I'm completely rewriting from the first version. I'm pretty proud of having managed more than an alibi sentence or two, because it was one of those days.

Well done making writing progress despite everything!

Today was pretty much like yesterday for me - drying laundry and a bit of garden work, productive but very tiring. I did write though.

April 16th - 1015 words, a 500 word ficlet and editing on three stories, only one of which actually got posted. The other two I still need to do a final read-through on to make sure typos didn't creep in with the edits. My laptop is old and the keys don't always generate letters when I hit them =/

I wrote ~800 words of a fanfic I've been ignoring since December, and then a whole 1.8k exchange fanfic today. :3 Neither of these are the thing Camp NaNo is tracking for me! It is so many nice words, though! Such is the problem with single-project trackers.

I'm really happy with what I have written, though, so that's nice.

Well, you wrote lots, and I think that's the main point! Camp NaNo is just one way to approach writing and try reaching a goal in hopes of getting somewhere you want to be. Sounds like you're being very creative already! Maybe it'll soon seep into the project you mean to be writing, as well.

I added 588 to Bond/Q today. It was another materials creation day, so lots of computer time and less energy at the end of the day for writing. I really do need to stick to your suggestion of doing it earlier if I can.

Apr 16: Some editing/revision. I think tomorrow I'm going to have to get the notebook back out, because I'm not doing a good job of getting words down without it.

I hope the notebook helps! I totally understand, I've also been having a phase where I get more written with a notebook than without.

The title idea "hinge, fold, follow, peel", plus contemplation of how to make this sound like an entirely sensible title to people who don't recognize the phrase, is something I thought up at two-thirty this morning and wasn't planning (after waking up anyway) to do anything with! I think this is going to end up being the title of a bunny I have had hopping around for about a year!

Ooh, it's always exciting when you find a missing piece of a story that's been around in your head for quite some time, and it helps the whole idea come together.

Day 16 - (Seriously, how is it the 16th of April already?!) 300 words on a double and a single drabble. I suspect there needs to be at least one and possibly two more for this to be a complete thought.

I don't know either, and I didn't even realize until you pointed it out that heck, yeah, we've passed the midpoint of the month! Anyway, well done for writing, and good luck with completing the thing you're working on!

Argh, I'm backsliding with the checking-in. So, on Days 13-16 it was more of the same: I worked on the nonfiction project, and added lines to my alibi-sentence story, which is now three paragraphs long! ;-)

I'm glad you got some writing done, even though it was one of those days.
