Write Every Day: Day #18

Congratulations to everyone who got their Yuletide stories posted, either yesterday or already earlier! And good luck with all the editing, treat-writing and all other things that are going on.

I got a proper amount of sleep last night, that was nice and useful.

Today's writing

Earlier today, I worked some on my original-thing-in-planning, mainly text fragments again to get to know my characters and their situations better. I'd missed them during the time I focused on my fanfics. That's a good sign - if I miss them already though I haven't written them much yet, I might love them enough to get the whole thing written.

In the evening I did some editing on my Yuletide fic. Ugh, my English is rusty from all the years I haven't done creative writing in it. There are all these weird or clunky constructions in my text, mainly the descriptions. I think I roughly have an idea of what is still wrong with the story itself. I hope that over the next few days I get it straightened out.

Nothing on the Yuletide fic, but I think I needed a day off on that. I did made a little progress on the other deadline, and that was more urgent, anyway.

A day off the Yuletide fic at this point sounds good, yes. I had my day off mine yesterday, which was why it was possible to continue editing today, but yesterday I took care not to even look at it.

Just meagre 40 words of fic on the original Christmas story, but all of my free time today was taken up by working off email correspondence regarding an upcoming fanfic event where I'm mod. Also finished glazing my Elisen gingerbread, and we went to a lovely Advent concert with a Medievalish group doing holiday songs from various European regions.

I had both theatre and cinema and two different Christmas markets today, so was out all day, but I just scrawled down an alibi sentence at least.
