Oooookay, finally checking in again. I keep writing every day, but sometimes commenting just eludes me with all the stressors lately.

I started the month with finishing 6 fics in one go and I'm current pushing the things I quick posted for deadline into shape for AO3.

So... 6000 words on the 1st, 3500 on the second and so far about 500 or so today while editing.

And... exhausted but satisfied.

Man, I was dreading--DREADING--sitting down to work on editing, planning, etc., for the rest of "The Donner Party," but I knew that if I didn't do it now, I'd be sorry later. I did finally spend a solid, focused hour doing a timeline of all of the major sections I've written so far, and I also created lists of character names and spaceship names. I caught one glaring age error by doing the timeline, and I also discovered I wrote a big chunk of an episode that I never got around to finishing, so I have to do that.

I color-coded the text for the timeline, since my plan is to organize it non-linearly (moving back and forth through the MC's life)--thanks for that, by the way, as I think you wrote about color-coding and that got me thinking of it--and wrote some questions that creating the timeline engendered.

I'm counting this as my writing for today, but I'm so excited to start fresh tomorrow! Now that I've broken through the initial dread, I'm feeling pretty confident about it all. Yay!

Given how busy I am this week I'm pleased. Thanks!

I worked on the novel again today -- wrote a bit and cut a bit, so I think I came out even. Oh well. I also tried to NAME some of the places in the story. Sheesh. Didn't get very far. Dang it.

I'm feeling the call of the WIPs folder -- I haven't chosen any to finish this month (maybe have another go at the ones I chose last month!). Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Too exhausted yesterday for more than about 100 words of alibi fic. We've started an outdoor project for which a huge pile of construction wood needs to be moved, and I've unstacked, carried, and stacked 4m long logs for a couple of hours. It wasn't made easier by temperatures suddenly having risen from 2 to over 20°C overnight.... I might not find the energy to write more than an alibi sentence for most of this week, and will probably also only check in occasionally.

I eventually cobbled together 172 words yesterday, but it wasn't a good day. Today I will play catch-up to my Camp goal again.

450 words on the POI WIP. I wanted more but there were things to do, like, you know. Laundry. Fewer words than I wanted versus a pile of clean underwear. *sigh*
