Write Every Day, August Day #5

I slept pretty badly last night, and I need to remember that there's a reason why I rarely drink alcohol: my body just doesn't agree with it. I mean, I had one glass of wine, and tonight I still had a headache. I get hungover without being drunk, how fair is that? But otherwise today was pretty peaceful, and there was some blueberry picking. I love blueberries.

Writing

I did, more or less, finish the edits to my Torchwood Fest fic (I'm still trying to fiddle with a bit that needs to be more sensual, but I should stop it and go to sleep). I don't hate my writing anymore! I'm uploading it for my beta in the case she has time to check the things I added, and will post it tomorrow. Which is the last day for the fest, so I definitely took full advantage of the extension...

I also wrote a few hundred words for my Rare Pair Fest fic. Am realizing that the deadline is not so terribly far away anymore. So soon I get to stress about editing that one, I guess!

I made some nominations to femslashex. Who else is planning to participate?

And I'm trying to figure out how screwed up I'd be, on a scale of 1 to 10, if I joined the Missy This Fic remix fest at missy_fest. Probably very, as I haven't yet seen Doctor Who Series 8 and 9 and have no idea if I'll have time to see much of them before the deadline, so my Missy knowledge is so far based only on S10. But the idea is soooooo tempting!

I took a break from working on my app, but did go on with the beta. It's in GDocs, so I haven't had to do it all at once, which was practical!

Is it possible that you’re allergic to sulfites? Some wine is made with sulfites and some without, and I know people who can’t drink the kind with sulfites but can the other kind. Maybe it’s that? Anyway, I hope your headache is gone at last.

I managed 168 words on the Tony/Steve fic. I wasn’t feeling it today, probably because I also worked on prep stuff for the new school year, which tired my brain right out, and also did some packing, which I need to continue when I finish this comment. *sighs*

It's possible, I guess, but other kinds of alcohol do it to me, too. I think it's more likely that it's just got to do with my fluid balance being thrown off, because I also get easily sick from flying or heat; it seems to me there might be a connection to this all. Though I'm hardly an expert... But yeah, the headache did eventually yield. :-)

Yay for managing some writing, at least. :-) Good luck with the packing, and with continuing to write!

Oh no! I hope the headache is gone now? Congrats on finishing and I'm glad you came around and don't hate what you wrote anymore.

I wrote 3700 words and worked and did some editing. I worked on three stories in total and finished one rough draft.

I think I'll do femslashex again. I did nominate and with Doctor Who now having so many tempting femslash options I can't resist.

Hmmm. You should be totally fine with Missy knowledge from S10. That was where she got a real arc after all. And it's a remix, so you can bend the timeline to fit your needs.

I managed 50% of my big editing project, and then spent the rest of the evening being lazy and playing CAH with friends. Now if I can do the same amount tomorrow I'll be freeeee... \o/
