Write Every Day - April Day #5
Apr. 5th, 2018 10:04 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
It's been raining a lot tonight, and the temperature has been a few degrees above zero today, so snow is melting fast. Maybe we'll get spring! Though I very much liked being able to ski on Easter, so I don't mind that March was much colder than usual.
Today's Writing
I got tired of just writing notes and wanted to work on some text again, so I turned back to one of my unfinished fanfics, and indulged myself by working on a sex scene for a little over 200 words. I'd have continued, but I'm getting too tired to write.
I also thought about possibly organising my fanfic WIPs into proper folders and seeing how many I've got and which ones I could possibly finish. Thinking about it kind of counts, right?

Date: 2018-04-05 10:05 pm (UTC)Personally I'm incredibly tired of winter, so I'm very happy we're finally having spring weather here.

Date: 2018-04-06 08:11 pm (UTC)I get why most people are tired of winter; it is April, after all. I'm just the oddball from the north, and to me it's normal that there's still snow in March and you can go skiing on Easter, and one of my main complaints about my current area of living is that there normally isn't snow in March.
Well, to be more precise, I mostly complain about there not usually being snow in December, January, or February. I can forgive it in March. But I have enjoyed having a proper winter for a change, because otherwise it's so terribly dark here. However, I hope that spring arrives swiftly now, because the slush-sleet-ice period in between is incredibly annoying!

Date: 2018-04-05 10:48 pm (UTC)I wrote 1144 on "The Donner Party" today, still working on that unfinished episode and feeling my way toward integrating it into the rest of the story.

Date: 2018-04-06 10:58 am (UTC)The downside is that when I've finished something, I need to manually copy&paste each document into the "Finished" scrivener projet. But at least this also enhances the satisfaction of having finished some work and being able to file it away. ^^
Yesterday, I actually managed to write more than anticipated, got back into my WIP, edited some and added about 500 new words. I'm also an yet another new small track with it, but a welcome one, adding bits of depth to my character that were missing before.

Date: 2018-04-07 10:10 am (UTC)Glad you managed to write more than anticipated, that sounds like nice progress with your WIP! And it's especially nice when you manage to add character depth, that's ever so important. :-)
