My today's WorldCon participating mainly consisted of getting familiar with the convention, seeing what there is and where everything is. Also, I managed to get into the concert of the two geek women choirs, Another Castle and Riverside Castle (the queue was looooong, but the room was big, too). They began the concert by singing a choir arrangement of the Doctor Who theme! How could you not love that?

According to my friends (and just about everyone who tweets about the event) the rooms for the panels are mostly too small and it's hard to get a seat in them, so I think I'm going to have to change my plans from "attend all the interesting panels that are not on at the same time" to "pick out a few really interesting ones, camp out well in advance for them, and spend the rest of the time just hanging around, gawking at cool stuff, collecting ribbons and books and goodness knows what".

Writing

I meant to do writing in the early part of the day, but I didn't, so I just added about 250 words to my rare pair fic in the evening - I really hope that the day I finish it will be soon! Also, I signed up for

missy_fest. By the way, so should you, if you're a Doctor Who fan who likes Missy and would like to participate in a remix fest that remixes Missy into fics! How awesome is that?
