Write Every Day, September Day #12

Ooh, Yuletide nominations are open! I'm going to have to start thinking about what I'd like to request and offer for the challenge.

And public_call nominations will open in a few days, too! It's that season already!

In other news, I might actually have to start wearing a jacket outside. It was a bit chilly today. Especially after the freak shower and huge gusts of wind that met me when I was going home from the library. Amazingly, my umbrella didn't break, but it didn't help a lot against the weather.

I'm totally hopeless with libraries, by the way. I've got so many unread books from the library already, many more that I own, but I'm still totally incapable of going to a library to return books without borrowing new ones. Today I returned three books and borrowed... seven? I don't even know. At least some of them are comics and other quick reads.


Today's Writing

It's been a long day, and I couldn't resist watching another episode of "The Enemy of the World" before I started writing, so I haven't written much. So far I've brainstormed a bit on the travel writing exercise, and I've written a few sentences to the femslash ficlet I started yesterday. I'll see if I manage to do a little more with the travel writing, but I really should go to sleep very soon.

Thank you! They've been on hold for a while, but we're hoping to continue them again. The exercises come from a Finnish source, so I can't really share them with you all, but I enjoy them. I'm fascinated with writing about places; I've noticed also in my fiction (at least original fiction) having a connection to the place makes the story flow better.

Congrats for still more writing! Whew, that's a lot of words, it's at novelette territory already! Good luck figuring out where it's going and when it's ending. :-)
