Write Every Day, June Day #17

I'm back home now, and promptly crashed as soon as I got here. I was more tired than I'd realized, though I had been pretty darn sleepy all day today. It's probably mainly because I've slept kind of poorly at least for the past week or so - besides going to bed too late on some days, I've also kept waking up too early, perhaps because the mornings get light so early now. I do wear a sleep mask when it's light, but it tends to come off at some point. Also, if I put it on when I went to sleep, it'd probably be off by the time it's actually light, so I tend to just put it on when I first wake up from the light. Maybe the very early dawn now is messing up my sleep patterns. Anyway, I just took at least two hours to be able to even drag myself out of bed.


Today's Writing

I added some bits to the short story again in the afternoon, amounting to a little over 100 words. Though since I haven't really figured out what it's about (I had an idea when I started, but I think it's about something else, and I don't know what yet), I felt like I wanted to write something else, but I'm just soooo tired. I started another Cottoncandy ficlet, in a new fandom, but I managed as many as 48 words, and my creative brain ran out of power mid-sentence. So I think that's it for today. I did listen to some podcasts that might sorta count towards novel research in a very broad and general way.

And I looked at my research books and thought for a second or so about picking one up, but I don't think that counts.

I did words today, a little in the missing scene, a little in the post-credits scene for a fic that I haven't gotten the full final battle written for, some amount on linklisting. Could have done more, but I spent the morning removing drips and paint spots off the bathroom floor and other surfaces so I could declare the thing done and willing to live with any imperfections my brain keeps yelling at me about.

Congrats for getting some words done today as well as the house stuff! It's totally understandable that you didn't have time/energy for more writing, as it was, but the little bits also add up. :-)
