Write Every Day, August Day #11

Today I didn't stay at the con as long as yesterday, but I'm still very tired; in fact, so tired I'm going to have to seriously cut down on the plans for the weekend. But I did figure that might happen, I'm just not that good at big crowds and lots of stimuli. However, I attended great panels today, got a book signed, and did a bit of geeky shopping, and had a nice time for much of it.

Writing

Just an alibi sentence so far. My brain's so tired; I know what to write next in my rare pair fic, but I can't think of how to put it into words. Maybe something else will strike me yet before bedtime, but maybe not. Just wanted to make sure I've written.

I didn't work on the app tonight (for once), but I worked on a beta instead - about halfway through.

I agree with you, re: the exhausting influence of crowds. I've done a fan con or two, but I always have to steel myself for them, and they definitely tire me out, so I can relate. :-) I'm glad you're sensible about pacing yourself and that you also got to some great panels.

I managed two or three sentences on the Steve/Tony fic. I'm tired, having spent the day on a lot of Not Fun Adult Stuff, and that's about what I could squeeze out of my brain.

Crowds and lots of stimuli always tire me out, and seems to be no exception when it's over stuff I'm really into. But it's been a good one overall, and I'm learning about my own limits, which is useful for the future. :-)

On some days your brain just won't give you more than a sentence or a few. But I think there are rewards in at least trying, even if it doesn't look like much on the page that day. :-) So yay for those couple of sentences, anyway! I hope you get some rest and can get more creative during the weekend!

I saw Daveed Diggs was attenting as well, now I'm twice as jealous! :D

I wrote around 1.5k of my slavefic WIP, where I'm currently fighting with my characters' tendency to land in bed and my own desire to get to a fun little plot point.... /o\

See, I'm myself not enough of a Hamilton fan to have taken advantage of that (I know of and appreciate the show, but the bug hasn't really bitten me so far); but I have a few friends who attended the Clipping concert and were all a-squee. :-D

Yay for writing! And darn characters for wanting to have sex instead of plots! Though considering what plots tend to do to characters, maybe nobody can blame them. :-D

No actual words, but I did set up all the scrivener files on the new laptop using what I pulled back together on my iPad. So that's something. Finding it hard to locate my oomph for proper catch up that isn't outlining though, sigh. (Astrid thinks I'm boring.)

Sounds like very necessary work for writing to happen, so even if your icon thinks you're boring, good for you! :-)

Darn, I need to get back into the habit of reporting here every day! ;o) Some editing happened on the 10th, and about 300 words for another drawer fic yesterday.

I bet it can be hard to get back into the habit of reporting after a prolonged break! But no problem, it's easy enough to edit you in. Yay for editing and writing!
