I had such a fabulous time tonight seeing Don Quixote at the Finnish National Ballet tonight. Polina Semionova, an international ballet star, was visiting to perform the lead role of Kitri, and she was fabulous and everyone on stage was giving a marvellous performance, the energy was mind-blowing. I'm so happy to have seen this! I'm only now starting to come down from the high.

Sorry I didn't reply to all the comments yet - I'll get back to the rest tomorrow! I need to start calming down to sleep...

I didn't have much time between work and leaving for the ballet, but I snatched a moment to write a couple of sentences for my novel, knowing I'd be out late. That's all for today!

That ballett performance sounds very lovely, I'm glad you could see and enjoy it! :o)

I'm missing on the tally for the 8th; I've probably not been clear enough with my check-in yesterday that it was for the 7th, 8th, and 9th, sorry!
I did continue with a couple of hundred words yesterday (9th) after checking in, too. Today, I'm again only yet sitting down to write. I had some writing time in the morning, but spent that answering to a very strange and odd request I got by message on FFnet, from someone who didn't seem to have understood how fandom works... I had hoped my answer would be sufficient, but now I got half a novel back in answer. *sigh* But not today, I'd rather write fic now.

Sorry about that! I'll edit you in! I hope you get some writing done today, too. Sorry you had an odd message taking your time and focus away! Maybe there could be some "stuff to know about fandom" page you could just direct them to?

Such a page might be very useful in a lot of cases, I have to go looking if there are any. But I don't think the current case would be any help; I got the impression that they weren't interested in anything but their own opinion. I discussed the whole conversation with a friend, as I was wondering if I overreacted, but she felt just the same way. The internet is a strange place sometimes.

I wrote 696 on "The Donner Party" today. It's starting to feel like a novel or something. Lol!

I miss getting to see the ballet. SOmething kicked free today and I got 626 words on a Christmas short story.

Just an alibi sentence for me... I may have to do this for a few days. My mother is in the hospital -- she's doing fine, but I am exhausted.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother! My sympathies. I hope things get better soon. Yeah, in some situations it's definitely better to just let yourself get by with alibi sentences.

No words for me for the 10th, but I managed to snag some writing time amidst the move (couldn't begin to explain how, but there it is) on Sunday so belated checkin for the 8th.

Oops, I seem to have missed a check-in! But I wrote every day, the 9th and the 10th both. (Drawerfic. Plus some struggling with SmutSwap that didn't result in actual writing ...)
